Yoo buujack whats up man

Hey hey, how's life lately? Reminiscing on good movie related conversations around these here profile parts...

Since I entered the working era of my life I've struggled to make time to watch movies as much so these days I mostly just watch the big things I hear everyone talking about.

One that I watched fairly recently and really loved was the new Batman. I went into it expecting to hate it and was completely blown away in the first 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure it's my favorite version of Batman ever, I'm really looking forward to the sequel.

Hopefully this year gets better too.

Yeaah I loved the new Batman too. Nirvana playing in the intro... it was so different than I expected. Felt a bit like a throwback to/reboot of the earliest Batman movies, where the whole Gotham gang of criminals gathered at the same time, not just one individual villain/movie. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the car. Loved the characters. Only learned Colin Farrell played The Penguin later on, such a good role... hoping for good sequels.

Have you seen Parasite? Few years old at this point, but seems like a good one too.

It blew my mind when I found out Colin Farrel was The Penguin. I love Colin Farrell (when he's not doing shitty movies) and his performance as The Penguin was incredible, I'm hoping he plays a larger part in the sequel.

Yeah I love Korean cinema and generally try to watch anything Korean that becomes big, including Squid Games. I haven't actually watched a lot of Korean cinema though, but everything I have watched has been incredible. Squid Games is actually imo the worst Korean cinema I've seen and I still liked it quite a bit.

Parasite was great. I need to give it a re-watch and explore more by the director, I've been meaning to watch Mother for years.

Fortunately still working part time myself so there's time for movies yet, albeit not as many as the great heyday of movies everyday ey.

I'm likely about to start a job working 3 days a week 12-hour shifts. I'm probably going to work a lot more movies in having 4 days off every week.

Yeah I was thinking at the most intense Penguin moments that he seemed like one of the character types you just don't see in movies these days, just a strong; charismatic villian or unorthododox hero type. Someone like Jim Belushi, was wondering if it might've been someone from that old eighties era I didn't really know the name of, he seemed familiar somehow. XD Yeaah I haven't seen a bad Farrell role yet but this really was something else! When you don't even recognize the actor it's gotta be. Happens so rarely.

Squid Games huh, I'll add that to my watchlist... good to know. Other Korean movies that come to mind that I really enjoyed to: Attack the Gas Station (second one in particular), Into The Mirror, Sinkhole...

What kind of job has you working 12-hour shifts I may ask? Sounds good for sure, though probably need at least a day to recoup after that kind of stretch.

Was thinking of getting into the cruise ship game earlier. Around here they work a couple weeks and then have a couple weeks off, so basically it's 6 months work/6 months vacation per year. Though work days seem intense.
